1/2 bunchfresh thyme( i used 1 tsp. dried)
3 Tbspbalsamic vinegar
·salt & pepper to taste
4red onions, cut in half
How to Make Rstd Red Onions W/butter/honey & Balsamic Vinegar
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES F. Spray a 1/2 cup measure with non stick cooking spray, and then fill with honey. Pour into a small sauce pan then add butter, thyme, balsamic vinegar, and salt and pepper, then bring to a boil, and let simmer for 1 minute or so till it reduces somewhat.
- Spray a small casserole dish with non stick cooking spray, add onion halves cut side up & in a single layer, and then drizzle honey mixture over onions. Place in preheated 350 degree oven and bake for 45 minutes or until onions are soft and slightly caramalized. Should make about 6 servings.
