olive oil, extra virgin
1/2 tsp
2 lb
brussel sprouts
1/4 c
chopped fresh parsley
2 tsp
butter, softened
1 tsp
freshly ground black pepper
3/4 tsp
grated lemon rind
1/4 c
shredded parmesan cheese

How to Make Roasted Brussel Sprouts


  • 1Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • 2Trim & clean brussel sprouts by rinsing with water & removing the outer layers. Layers should be pale green. Trim stems.
  • 3Slice in half; quarter if large enough.
  • 4Combine sugar, olive oil, salt, & brussel sprouts in a bowl. Toss well.
  • 5Spray a jellyroll pan with cooking spray. Spread brussel sprouts in single layer on the pan.
  • 6Bake for 20-25 min, turning after 15 min. They will get brown & crisp. (You can decrease or increase the baking time to your liking).
  • 7Remove from oven. With a spatula, transfer brussel sprouts to a bowl. Add the parsley, butter, pepper, & lemon. Stir together. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
