Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, extra virgin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 pounds brussel sprouts
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 teaspoons butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 3/4 teaspoon grated lemon rind
- 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese
How To Make roasted brussel sprouts

Step 1Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Step 2Trim & clean brussel sprouts by rinsing with water & removing the outer layers. Layers should be pale green. Trim stems.

Step 3Slice in half; quarter if large enough.

Step 4Combine sugar, olive oil, salt, & brussel sprouts in a bowl. Toss well.

Step 5Spray a jellyroll pan with cooking spray. Spread brussel sprouts in single layer on the pan.

Step 6Bake for 20-25 min, turning after 15 min. They will get brown & crisp. (You can decrease or increase the baking time to your liking).

Step 7Remove from oven. With a spatula, transfer brussel sprouts to a bowl. Add the parsley, butter, pepper, & lemon. Stir together. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
