This is a perfect holiday dish with Pork dishes and also
is a pefect salad for summer picnics because it has no mayo in it. It goes greaat with hot dogs and brats too.
It was given to me by a very dear friend of my husband's.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    can sauerkraut, drained well
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    chopped celery
  • 1 c
    green peppers, chopped
  • 1/4 c
    onions, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp
    white vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/8 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 tsp
    celery seed
  • 3 Tbsp
    pimentos, chopped

How to Make Overnight Sauerkraut Salad

Step-by-Step

  1. Drain sauerkraut 15 minutes, then cut up with kitchen scissors into 1 inch pieces.
  2. Place in a large bowl, add remaining ingredients, stir well, cover and refridgerate overnight before serving.
