I have served this as a main dish, as well, by adding lamb chunks and wine.

    spaghetti squash
  • ·
    oil for roasting
  • 1 tsp
    season salt for each half
  • 1/4 stick
    butter, cut in pieces
  • 1 Tbsp
    ground oregano
  • 1 Tbsp
    italian seasoning
  • ·
    white pepper to taste
  • 1 lb
    shredded mozzarella

How to Make Mozzarella Spaghetti Squash Casserole


  1. Take squash and cut in half. Remove seeds.
  2. Rub squash with oil and sprinkle on season salt.
  3. Place in oven at 400F until tender.
  4. Allow to cool until able to be handled, with shred inside with a fork. Place all innards in the greased, square casserole dish.
  5. Add the butter and the seasoning. (I took a picture at this point and the finished picture did not save. I wasn't aware of this until it was eaten.)
  6. The sprinkle on cheese very thickly. Place in oven at 350F on the cheese is bubbling and achieving a golden brown.
