This dish is smothered in mozzarella, though not included in picture.

I have served this as a main dish, as well, by adding lamb chunks and wine.

Ingredients

1
spaghetti squash
oil for roasting
1 tsp
season salt for each half
1/4 stick
butter, cut in pieces
1 Tbsp
ground oregano
1 Tbsp
italian seasoning
white pepper to taste
1 lb
shredded mozzarella

How to Make Mozzarella Spaghetti Squash Casserole

Step-by-Step

  • 1Take squash and cut in half. Remove seeds.
  • 2Rub squash with oil and sprinkle on season salt.
  • 3Place in oven at 400F until tender.
  • 4Allow to cool until able to be handled, with shred inside with a fork. Place all innards in the greased, square casserole dish.
  • 5Add the butter and the seasoning. (I took a picture at this point and the finished picture did not save. I wasn't aware of this until it was eaten.)
  • 6The sprinkle on cheese very thickly. Place in oven at 350F on the cheese is bubbling and achieving a golden brown.
