  • 1/2 c
    olive oil
  • 1/4 c
    white wine vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp
    italian seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp
    dijon mustard
  • 1 clove
  • 3/4 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper

  • 1 large
  • 1 bottle
    bottled cherry peppers
  • 1/2 bottle
    bottled yellow pepper rings
  • 3 medium
  • 1 bunch
    dinner onions or one medium red or white onion
  • 1 large
  • 1 c
    chinese pea pods
  • 1 c
    olives, pitted (green or black) optional

How to Make Marinated salad featuring dinner onions


  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, vinegar, Italian seasoning, Dijon mustard, garlic, salt, sugar, and pepper. Can use an immersion blender, if you are to lazy to whisk. taste, adjust seasonings, if needed
  2. Rinse vegetables and cut into desired sized pieces, combine the rough chopped vegetables in a large bowl . Traditional bite size, is a good idea.
  3. Pour the dressing over the vegetables, tossing gently to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or up to 24 hours, stirring occasionally.
