marie's (my mom) green salad
Sometimes in the summer on the weekends my Mother would make a green salad to go with dinner. Her's was a special salad. My dad whould roll his eyes at her but she made them anyway. "He would usually say something like "If I knew what you were going to do with those roses I well......." Picture taken in Panama City Beach,Florida where they would spend the winters after they retired.

Ingredients
- 1 - head lettuce chopped into bite sized pieces
- 1-2 - cucumber pealed and diced
- 1 small onion diced
- 4 - green onions sliced on a slant about 1/2 inch long
- 1-2 - tomatoes chopped
- 6-8 - radishes diced
- 5 - stalks celery diced
- 5-8 - roses in full bloom (pedals only)

Step 1fix the lettuce and put all the rest on top. Toss at the table

Step 2add dressings after it is on your plate. Mom used thousand Island, My dad used Blue cheese, I used spicy french and Diana used Ranch
