This is a slaw that has no mayo in it. The recipe came from Lill Bower, a sweet Canadian lady that wintered over in our snowbird park.

Ingredients
- 3 pounds cabbage, shredded
- 4 small onions, thinly sliced
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 cup vegetable oil
How To Make lill's canadian style slaw

Step 1Alternate layers of cabbage and onions.

Step 2Heat remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.

Step 3Pour over cabbage, cover set 1 hour.
