jodie's southern fried okra
This is one of my Family Favorite Generationally enjoyed recipes. I. Love making this recipe we love to serve it with Fried Trout. It's really awesome when you use Fresh Okra. I hope you all Enjoy this as much as we do. Enjoy!!

Ingredients
- 1 dozen okra, fresh
- 1 1/2 cups grapeseed oil for frying
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons sea salt
- 2 teaspoons pepper
- 2 teaspoons garlic and herb seasoning
- 2 teaspoons sage, dried
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 2 quarts boiling water
How To Make jodie's southern fried okra

Step 1Put all dry ingredients into a separate large bowl.

Step 2In large pot, boil 2 Quarts of Water.

Step 3Wash Okra and remove stems if needed.

Step 4Prepare eggs in separate bowl from milk. Use fork or whisk. You will need 2 bowls one for each.

Step 5Parboil your Okra for 5 minutes. Pouring off water, as having heated oil in skillet. I like to use a cast iron skillet.

Step 6With each Okra dipping into milk then into egg and then into the flour mixture.

Step 7Drop each Okra into your hot oil. Let cook, turning each one till Golden Brown. Salt and Pepper to taste. Serve Hot... Enjoy!!!
