Ingredients
- 2 large artichokes
- 2 large slightly stale italian bread
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup parmesan cheese
- 3 ounces chopped fresh italian parsley
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 dashes paparika
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice or lemon and pepper seasoning
How To Make italian style stuffed artichokes

Step 1Prep clean artichoke by banging top open and rinse clean. Cut off sharp tips of leaves and bottom stem. Mince garlic. Wet 2 large hardened rolls of rustic french or Italian bread and squeeze water out. Place in bowl. Add additional bread if needed. Mixture will be sopping wet but hardens in the cooking process.

Step 2Mix wet bread with all ingredients accept Paprika, open and stuff artichokes with mixture. Once stuffed, garnish with Paprika on top

Step 3Place in tall pan in 2 inches of water, standing up tightly. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 45 minutes. Sever in large soup bowl with a side of hot drawn butter for dipping leaves.
