Ingredients

  • 16 oz
    green beans, frozen
  • 1 c
    sweet onion, sliced
  • 6
    mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 4 slice
    bacon, chopped, opitional
  • 1 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 can(s)
    diced tomatoes, no salt added/ basil, garlic & oregano
  • 2 tsp
    mrs. dash, table blend

How to Make Italian style green beans

Step-by-Step

  1. Place thawed green beans in pot with onion, spices and diced tomatoes.
  2. Simmer for about 20-30 till beans are tender. Add mushrooms last 5 min of cooking.
  3. Prepare bacon in your favorite manner. I like to place it on baking sheet and bake for 25-30 min on 375°.
  4. Crumble bacon and add to beans, top with grated Parmesan cheese.
