italian green bean casserole

My Italian Aunt always made this when she'd come out to Nebraska to her In=laws (who were very German).. It was a request from them.. along with her Italian Spaghetti Sauces;;; She used home-canned green beans or fresh green beans in the summer..also tomatoes...but 60 yrs later, I have substitued the frozen green beans and canned tomatoes...

Ingredients
- 5 slices bacon, diced
- 1/2 cup green onion, diced
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 lg. can diced tomatoes
- 1 10 oz packages frozen green beans
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano, dried
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper (no salt added)
- 1/2 cup grated romana cheese
- 1/2 cup fresh grated parmisona cheese

Step 1Brown bacon. add and saute onions and mushrooms, drain off grease..

Step 2Mix together in 2-qt. casserole-- green beans, tomatoes, oregano, salt and lemon pepper, bacon onion and mushrooms..

Step 3Bake at 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.. Sprinkle grated cheese over before serving....
