green beans in sour cream sauce

These are a nice change for the soup and onion that is usually served with the French onions and mushroom soup green beans. Try it see what you think. Enjoy!!

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces pkg. thawed cut green beans
  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
  • 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup pear liquid
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 medium canned pear halves, diced
  • 1/4 cup dairy sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1/4 cup bacon, cooked crisp and diced

How To Make green beans in sour cream sauce

  • Step 1
    Sauté onion and parsley in butter. Stir in flour and pear liquid(liquid the pears were in ). Cook until thick. In a small bowl combine remaining ingredients (except beans)and add to the onion mixture. Pour this mixture over the hot drained beans and sprinkle bacon pieces over and serve.
