Green Beans in Sour Cream Sauce

These are a nice change for the soup and onion that is usually served with the French onions and mushroom soup green beans. Try it see what you think. Enjoy!!

  • 12 oz
    pkg. thawed cut green beans
  • 1 small
    onion, minced
  • 1 Tbsp
    parsley flakes
  • 1 Tbsp
    all purpose flour
  • 1/4 c
    pear liquid
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 4 medium
    canned pear halves, diced
  • 1/4 c
    dairy sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp
    granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/4 c
    bacon, cooked crisp and diced

How to Make Green Beans in Sour Cream Sauce


  1. Sauté onion and parsley in butter. Stir in flour and pear liquid(liquid the pears were in ). Cook until thick. In a small bowl combine remaining ingredients (except beans)and add to the onion mixture.
    Pour this mixture over the hot drained beans and sprinkle bacon pieces over and serve.
