This recipe was born from a "pantry raid" - meaning I had to put dinner on the table, and nothing planned and I didn't want to go to the store. They turned out really good!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 package frozen green beans
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/2 tablespoon olive oil or bacon grease
  • 1 - very large clove garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 large tomato, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon greek seasoning blend
  • - salt, pepper, garlic seasoning

How To Make greek green beans by susan

  • Step 1
    Place green beans, water, olive oil, and garlic in a heavy-bottomed pan. Bring to a boil; reduce to simmer and cook covered 20 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Uncover and add the tomatoes and seasonings. Taste and adjust salt and pepper if necessary. Continue to cook another 5-10 minutes until tomatoes are cooked and beans are done.
