Ingredients
- 2 cups wide egg noodles
- 1 cup sliced celery
- 3 slices bacon
- 1/4 cup onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
How To Make german hot noodle salad

Step 1Bring a large pot of water to a boil; add noodles and celery. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, about 15 minutes or until both are tender.

Step 2Meanwhile, in a skillet, cook the bacon until crisp. Crumble and set aside.

Step 3Reserve 1 Tbsp. drippings in the skillet. Saute onion until tender. Stir in sugar, flour, salt and mustard; add water and vinegar.

Step 4Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly, about 2 to 3 minutes.

Step 5Rinse and drain the noodles and celery; add to skillet. Add parsley and stir until heated through.

Step 6Transfer to a serving bowl and sprinkle with bacon.
