I saw is recipe on facebook and tried it,it was great.I added a few ingredents to spice it up some.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fine chopped squash
  • 1 cup fine chopped onion
  • 1 cup self rising flour
  • 1 - egg beaten
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch ( i add this to make it stay crispy longer)
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder (i added this to make it lighter)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon tony's cajun seasoning ( i add this for spice)
  • - oil about 1/2 inch in bottom of skillet

How To Make fried squash paddies

  • Step 1
    DO NOT MIX UP AHEAD OF TIME OR IT WILL GET TO SOUPY, AND NO THERE IS NO MORE LIQUIDS TO ADD.
  • Step 2
    Chop the squash and onions.
  • Step 3
    add rest of ingredients except oil, mix until well mixed.
  • Step 4
    drop into hot oil by the teaspoon full about 3 min on each side. drain on paper towel.
