Fried Squash Paddies

I saw is recipe on facebook and tried it,it was great.I added a few ingredents to spice it up some.

Ingredients

  • 2 c
    fine chopped squash
  • 1 c
    fine chopped onion
  • 1 c
    self rising flour
  • 1
    egg beaten
  • 2 Tbsp
    corn starch ( i add this to make it stay crispy longer)
  • 1 Tbsp
    baking powder (i added this to make it lighter)
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    tony's cajun seasoning ( i add this for spice)
  • oil about 1/2 inch in bottom of skillet

How To Make

  • 1
    DO NOT MIX UP AHEAD OF TIME OR IT WILL GET TO SOUPY, AND NO THERE IS NO MORE LIQUIDS TO ADD.

    Chop the squash and onions.

    add rest of ingredients except oil, mix until well mixed.
  • 4
    drop into hot oil by the teaspoon full about 3 min on each side. drain on paper towel.
