fried cabbage pasta
I needed to use up a head of cabbage and make something my kids might eat. My kids loved this dish. We have had it for dinner 3 times this month. We had a friend try it and he asked for the recipe.

Ingredients
- 1 pound rotini pasta or gluten free rotini
- 1 stick butter/margarine
- 1 medium onion, yellow
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 medium green cabbage, shredded
- 2 large carrots, grated
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional)
How To Make fried cabbage pasta

Step 1Bring a pan of water to a boil. Add pasta to boiling water. Cook until slightly undercooked. Drain and set aside.

Step 2Slice a medium onion.

Step 3Mince garlic.

Step 4Quarter and core head of cabbage.

Step 5Shred cabbage in food processor.

Step 6Peel and shred carrots.

Step 7Melt butter on medium in another large pan.

Step 8Cook onion in melted butter for 5 min.

Step 9Add minced garlic and cook for 30 sec.

Step 10Add shredded cabbage and carrots.

Step 11Stir to combine and cook for about 8-10min

Step 12Season cabbage mixture with salt, pepper, and red pepper.

Step 13Add pasta to cabbage mixture and continue to cook over medium heat while stirring.

Step 14Cook until pasta is done.
