Fresh French Style Green Beans was once one of the most anticipated signs of spring, but these days it is available in most markets year-round. When green beans are steamed lightly in vegetable broth then remove from the steamer, season with just a little salt and pepper. Then sprinkle with colorful slices of mini bell peppers, you’ll enjoy this wonderful side dish often.

How to Make French Style Green Beans with Rainbow Peppers

Step-by-Step

  1. In medium to large sauce pan, over medium heat add vegetable broth and bring to a boil. Then add green beans and let steam for about 5 – 8 minutes or until tender, but do not overcook. Remove pan from heat, season with salt and pepper, then add slice peppers cover and let stand for about 2 minutes.
  2. Place green beans and peppers in serving dish.
