I've been making this squash for years and everyone loves the flavors, even kids!!

Ingredients

  • 2 - acorn squash, preferably organic cut in 1/2 lengthwise
  • 1 cup pure, real maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

How To Make fall harvest acorn squash

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 400. Spray lightly, a 9" x 13" baking dish w/ cooking spray. Place squash, cut-side up in baking dish.
  • Step 2
    In medium bowl, combine syrup, butter and cinnamon. Coat the cut side of squash evenly w/ syrup mix using a basting brush.
  • Step 3
    Bake 1 hr, bastin w/ syrup mix occasionally. It's done when it is fork tender. Great served w/ a roasted chicken w/ lots of herbs.
