Pan Fry


  • 1 can(s)
    garbanzo beans, rinsed & drained
  • 3
    garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 tsp
    oregano, dried
  • 1/4 c
    cilantro, fresh
  • 1/4 c
    parsley, fresh
  • 1 tsp
    olive oil
  • 1/2
    lemon squeezed
  • ·
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 2 c
    vegetable or canola oil for frying

How to Make Falafel


  1. Put the garbanzo beans in a food processor, pulse a few times...just to the consistency of loose bread crumbs...NOT mushy.
  2. take out and place in a bowl.
  3. add the rest of the ingredients( except the 2 cups of oil) and also pulse till well combined..
  4. mix together with the garbanzo beans and refrigerate at least an hour.
  5. form into small balls and gently press, fry on med-high for about 2 mins per side...until golden brown.
  6. serve warm in pita bread with tomatoes, lettuce and Tzatziki sauce ( look for recipe here).
