This is a simple recipe to assemble and tastes awesome. It is basically cabbage, carrots, and a yummy dressing. To me, this is not about the veggies, this is about the dressing. So, you can cut up your own cabbage and carrots, or you can use a premix bag… up to you. So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

  • 1/2 c
    mayonnaise, i prefer duke’s
  • 1 Tbsp
    dijon mustard, i prefer grey poupon
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar, granulated variety
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    apple-cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp
    dehydrated onions, ground to a powder
  • 1 tsp
    celery seeds
  • 14 oz
    cabbage/carrots mix, your favorite combo

    Once made, let the slaw sit, covered, in the fridge for about an hour. This will give the ingredients a chance to know each other.

    If you want a coleslaw with more dressing, you might want to start by mixing in half the cabbage and carrots, and then adding a bit more at a time until you like the ratio of dressing-to-cabbage.

    Gather your ingredients (mise en place).

    Add all the ingredients to a non-reactive mixing bowl.
