divine asparagus

I made this as a side with Cordon Bleu (I posted a cordon bleu recipe recently) and it was absolutely delicious!

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter or olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 bunch fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2 inch pieces
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup red wine

How To Make divine asparagus

  • Step 1
    Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Step 2
    Sauté garlic in the butter until fragrant. Add the asparagus, cover and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Pour in the wine and add the raisins.
  • Step 4
    Cook uncovered until wine has evaporated and asparagus is tender, about 4 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Serve hot.
