Dilly Cucumbers Braised in Fry Pan

Ever have too many cucumbers in the garden or fridge that better get eaten before you have to throw them out- well this might be the recipe for you. Make them as Crunchy as you like-

  • 4 c
    cucumbers, peeled or stripped and sliced to 1/8-inch thickness
  • 3/4 tsp
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1 dash(es)
    white pepper
  • ·
    minced fresh dill to taste

How to Make Dilly Cucumbers Braised in Fry Pan


  1. Sprinkle cukes with salt; stir well and let stand 30 minutes.
    Drain in colander; do not press out liquid -just drain.
  2. In a 10-inch skillet melt butter; add cukes and pepper; stir well.
    Cook, covered over moderate heat and stirring several times, just until cukes are at the crunchy tenderness you prefer I like about 3-5 minutes. Stir in dill.
