Fell in love with this at a church supper! So EASY to make and ahead of time!

Ingredients

  • 4 cans green beans (i use kroger brand veri green)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar (can also use a sugar substitute)
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon heaping - dill weed
  • 1 tablespoon heaping - dried minced onion

How To Make dilled bean salad

  • Step 1
    Mix all ingredients except the beans. (Mix the dill weed and dried onion with the sugar before adding the vinegar and oil - mixes better)
  • Step 2
    Heat to a boil and boil gently for 2-3 minutes. Then let COOL.
  • Step 3
    Drain beans and put in a bowl or tupperware, etc. Pour cooled mixture over the beans. Mix gently.
  • Step 4
    cover and marinate overnight in the refrigerator. Serve cold.
