I love succotash but wanted to try something different then just the basic, salt, pepper and hot sauce. Came up with this tonight, and it's a nice change, so thought I'd share it.

Add to Grocery List

32 oz
chicken stock, or broth
1 tsp
minced garlic. or 2 cloves
1/8 tsp
black pepper
3-4 dash(es)
texas pete hot sauce. more or less to taste
1/2 tsp
curry powder
2 Tbsp
(2) 12 oz pkg
frozen lima beans
(1) 12 oz pkg
frozen corn
2 slice
cooked bacon, crumbled (optional)
onion, minced. or 1/2 tsp onion powder

How to Make Curry Succotash


  • 1Cook bacon until crisp, crumble when it cools.

    Meanwhile add chicken broth/stock to stockpot. Add spices. onion, butter, frozen corn and Lima Beans.
  • 2Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to medium low/low and simmer for 15-20 minutes, until Lima beans are softened.
  • 3Serve with crumbled bacon on top (optional)
