This recipe and technique came from my grandma. She loved to serve these delicious cucumbers with ham at Easter. So this recipe has been handed down, to my mom, and now to me and my sister. Our family just loves 'em! I think you will too!

Ingredients
- 6 medium cucumbers
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 medium onion, sliced as this as possible
- 1/3 cup vinegar
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
- - black pepper, to taste
How To Make cucumbers 'n cream

Step 1Peel and then slice the cucumbers as thin as possible. Place in a large bowl, sprinkle the cucumbers with salt.

Step 2Place a heavy plate on top of the sliced cucumbers to help press juice from the cucumbers. Let stand that way for 1 hour.

Step 3After the cucumbers have softened, squeeze the juice from the cucumbers, using your hands. Discarding the juice. After this step, add the thinly sliced onions.

Step 4Add the vinegar, sugar, and pepper. Mix well. Now add the sour cream and mix again.

Step 5Chill well before serving.
