I made this for luncheon a lot at the cottage. Everyone went nuts over it. And the amazing thing is no one had any gas from eating the cabbage...thanks to the apples!

Slow Cooker Crock Pot

Ingredients

  • ·
    one med cabbage quartered
  • ·
    2 sliced apples (cored) any kind you desire
  • ·
    1 to two onions sliced/use red onions for color
  • 1 tsp
    ground black pepper
  • 1 c
    apple juice/states frozen but i use bottled
  • 1/2 c
    chicken broth
  • 3 Tbsp
    spicey mustard
  • 3/4 tsp
    salt

How to Make Crock Pot Cabbage

Step-by-Step

  1. Spray crock pot with nonstick spray(Lightly)
  2. Mix in the crock the cabbage, onion, and top with the apple slices
  3. Mix together the seasoning, the broth, the apple juice,and the mustard. Pour over the cabbage in the crock pot.
  4. Cook on low heat 6 to 8 hours or until cabbage is done. Be sure to stir the items every two to three hours and serve the cabbage with a slotted spoon.
