creamed corn with bacon

I found this recipe in one of the groups in a response to where a member had asked for a recipe. This was the answer a member posted and I couldn't find where she had the recipe saved online. Thank you for this recipe, Annette W. greeneyez. I wanted it here where I am putting all my recipes now. I love this website. Annette said this recipe was from Southern Living. She did not give a name, but the member had requested a recipe for "Confetti Corn". This sounds so yummy.

Ingredients
- 8 slices bacon
- 6 cups fresh sweet corn kernels
- 1 cup diced sweet onion
- 1/2 cup red bell pepper, chopped
- 1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped
- 8 ounces cream cheese, cubed
- 1/2 cup half and half
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
How To Make creamed corn with bacon

Step 1Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat 6 to 8 minutes or until crisp. Remove bacon, and drain on paper towels, reserving 2 Tbsp. drippings in skillet. Coarsely crumble bacon.

Step 2Saute corn and next 3 ingredients in hot drippings in skillet over medium-high heat 6 minutes or until tender.

Step 3Add cream cheese and half-and-half, stirring until cream cheese melts. Stir in sugar, salt and pepper.

Step 4Transfer to a serving dish, and top with bacon.
