This corn is a wonderful accompaniment to any meal. It will be served for Thanksgiving, and Christmas in my home. It has become a tradition. I like making this not only because it's delicious, but frees me up to do my other meal preparations.

Once you start eating this, you can't stop, it's sooo good!

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 3/4 tsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 c
    quick-mixing flour, such as wondra
  • 3 - 16 oz
    packages of frozen whole kernal corn, thawed and drained. i either use my fresh frozen corn, or birdseye brand
  • 1/4 c
    grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 Tbsp
    chopped fresh parsley ( optional)
  • ·
    pepper to taste

How to Make Creamed Corn ( Crock Pot Style)

Step-by-Step

  1. In crock pot, whisk together the milk, cream, sugar, salt, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne, and flour until smooth.

    Stir in corn.
  2. Cover and cook on the high setting 3 to 3 1/2 hours, stirring once or twice, until bubbly and thickened.

    Serve, garnished with parsley, cheese, bacon, whatever you decide. I often serve with crumbled bacon.
