This corn is a wonderful accompaniment to any meal. It will be served for Thanksgiving, and Christmas in my home. It has become a tradition. I like making this not only because it's delicious, but frees me up to do my other meal preparations. Once you start eating this, you can't stop, it's sooo good!

Ingredients For creamed corn ( crock pot style)

  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 3/4 tsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 c
    quick-mixing flour, such as wondra
  • 3 - 16 oz
    packages of frozen whole kernal corn, thawed and drained. i either use my fresh frozen corn, or birdseye brand
  • 1/4 c
    grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 Tbsp
    chopped fresh parsley ( optional)
  • pepper to taste

How To Make creamed corn ( crock pot style)

    In crock pot, whisk together the milk, cream, sugar, salt, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne, and flour until smooth. Stir in corn.

    Cover and cook on the high setting 3 to 3 1/2 hours, stirring once or twice, until bubbly and thickened. Serve, garnished with parsley, cheese, bacon, whatever you decide. I often serve with crumbled bacon.
