creamed corn ( crock pot style)

This corn is a wonderful accompaniment to any meal. It will be served for Thanksgiving, and Christmas in my home. It has become a tradition. I like making this not only because it's delicious, but frees me up to do my other meal preparations. Once you start eating this, you can't stop, it's sooo good!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup quick-mixing flour, such as wondra
  • 3 - 16 ounces packages of frozen whole kernal corn, thawed and drained. i either use my fresh frozen corn, or birdseye brand
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley ( optional)
  • - pepper to taste

How To Make creamed corn ( crock pot style)

  • Step 1
    In crock pot, whisk together the milk, cream, sugar, salt, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne, and flour until smooth. Stir in corn.
  • Step 2
    Cover and cook on the high setting 3 to 3 1/2 hours, stirring once or twice, until bubbly and thickened. Serve, garnished with parsley, cheese, bacon, whatever you decide. I often serve with crumbled bacon.
