"collard greens" southern style
I am a lover of Greens of any type, and I think these are one of the easiest things to grow in my garden. I always have an abundance. I can them and even go out pick them and have fresh greens with a pork chop dinner and dinner can't get any fresher than that. Just Picked and No preservitives. I cook any greens just like this. Collards, Mustard, even dandilion greens.My husband knows how I love GREENS, and he taught me about Dandilion greens, and he was right I LOVE THEM. Never knew I could pick a weed and love them, till I met him.

Ingredients
- bunch any amount of collard greens
- 1/2 pound bacon or (salt pork) uncooked cut into 1" pieces
- - bacon drippings added to taste
- 1 teaspoon salt
- - water to cover
How To Make "collard greens" southern style

Step 1Wash, Rince, Cut out Tough stems. Can Chop smaller or Leave whole.

Step 2Place in Large Pot, add all the ingredients, Bring to Boil. . .Reduce heat, Cover

Step 3Steam about 30 minutes. Serve with your favorite meal.

Step 4To Serve; We use wine vinegar over top of ours, (optional)
