clone kfc cole slaw

This is a spot-on clone recipe for KFC's Cole Slaw!!! I just love their slaw and I love this recipe & I know you will too!!! The first time I made it, my husband & I ate it for breakfast, lunch & dinner!!!! ENJOY!!!!

Ingredients

  • 8 cups finely chopped cabbage (about 1 head)
  • 1/4 cup shredded carrot (1 medium carrot)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk (2% or skim)
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar or *tarragon wine vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons finely minced onion
  • VINEGAR - HAVE LEARNED FROM RELIABLE SOURCE THAT TARRAGON WINE VINEGAR IS KFC'S SECRET!!!

How To Make clone kfc cole slaw

  • Step 1
    Be sure cabbage and carrots are chopped/shredded into very fine pieces (about the size of rice)
  • Step 2
    Combine the mayonnaise, sugar, milk, buttermilk, lemon juice, vinegar, salt & pepper in a large bowl and beat until smooth.
  • Step 3
    Add the cabbage, carrots & onion and mix well.
  • Step 4
    Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. ENJOY!!!
