Here's me trying to make cauliflower with cheese sauce like how my mother-in-law used to do. Except she made enough for a crowd! Hubby said I nailed it!

Ingredients
- approximately 2 cups of steamed cauliflower florets
- THE CHEESE SAUCE
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 3/4 cup milk
- dash onion powder
- dash cayenne
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 1/2 - slices of white american cheese (like slices from the deli)
How To Make cauliflower with cheese sauce for two

Step 1Steam the cauliflower to preferred doneness. (You can use fresh or frozen) Drain well and set aside, cover to keep warm.

Step 2THE CHEESE SAUCE In a small pan melt the butter and whisk in the flour until smooth. Gradually add the milk, on low/medium heat, keep whisking until it has thickened.

Step 3Stir in the salt, pepper, onion powder, and cayenne. Add the cheese and stir until melted.

Step 4Place the cooked cauliflower in a bowl, and just before serving pour on the cheese sauce.
