This would be a wonderful side dish ...anytime....
Sweet and spicy, and would compliment any meal.
This has an addition of RED HOTS...for spice and flavor...Please enjoy this yummy dish.

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 lb
    fresh carrots
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/3 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp
    cinnamon... red hot candies.......optional
  • 2-3 Tbsp
    honey

How to Make CARROT SIDE DISH,SWEET & SPICY

Step-by-Step

  1. Peel and chop, slice or cut carrots into hunks.
    Place in a suuce pan with the water.
    Cover pan and cook on med. till done but firm.
    4-5 minutes.
    Drain the water out of pan,
  2. Add the butter, and simmer till melted.
    Add honey, sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon and red hots.
    Cook for another couple minutes on low, stir constantly..
  3. Serve when ready.....ENJOY.
