Ingredients

  • 1 medium green cabbage
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 cups light cream or half and half
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/3 cup bread crumbs

How To Make cabbage in cream

  • Step 1
    Wash cabbage. Boil in salted water until tender, about 30-35 minutes. Drain and chop well.
  • Step 2
    In a saucepan, melt butter. Add flour, blend in cream and stir over medium heat until sauce is thick. Season with salt and pepper. Add cabbage and simmer 5 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Place mixture into a 2-qt. buttered casserole dish. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 10 minutes or until bubbly.
