Easter coming up soon and something to do different with Asparagus than standing them up in a pot of steaming water. Plus this gives us that extra green veggie we need on our weight watch : )

olive oil
2 tsp
minced garlic
3/4 tsp
red pepper flakes
1 tsp
kosher salt
1 lb
large asparagus,woody ends trimmed
vegetable oil for the grill
1 tsp
fresh lemon juice


1Prepare a medium fire in a charcoal grill,or preheat a gas or electric grill to medium.
2In shallow baking dish,combine the oil,garlic,pepper flakes,and salt. Toss the asparagus in the seasoned oil to coat evenly.
3Brush the grill with vegetable oil. Place the asparagus on the grate single layer. Grill,turning every 2 to 3 minutes,until grill-marked and tender,10 to 15 minutes. Transfer to a plate,sprinkle with the lemon juice,and serve.
