brussel sprout salad
I love brussel sprouts, have ever since I was a little girl. This is a salad that my mother would make for me but I have changed it over the years. It can be done 3 ways. I will share all of them with you in this one posting. The First Version is my mothers. The picture is of the second version.

Ingredients
- FIRST VERSION
- 1 small package of frozen brussel sprouts
- 1-1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, sliced in half
- 1/4 jar italian salad dressing your choice
- 1/4-1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- SECOND VERSION - USED MARSHEILA'S COOKING TECHNIQUE FOR SPROUTS
- 1 small package of frozen brussel sprouts
- 5 slices bacon
- 1 1/2 cups cherry tomatoes, sliced in half
- 1/4 jar italian salad dressing
- 1/4-1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- THIRD VERSION
- - same ingredients as the first but not the dressing
- 1/4 jar creamy parmesan salad dressing
How To Make brussel sprout salad

Step 1First Version: Steam your brussel sprouts or place in a microwave with very little water, cook until tender, allow to cool. After they are cool place in a medium size mixing bowl, add cherry tomatoes, dressing and cheese. Chill overnight.

Step 2Second Version: Steam your brussel sprouts or place in a microwave with very little water, cook until tender, allow to cool. In the meantime, cook your bacon until crispy, drain on paper towel, add brussel sprouts to bacon grease, fry until slightly brown, drain on paper towel, once they are cool, add tomatoes, dressing, cheese, toss and top with bacon bits. Chill overnight.

Step 3Third Version: Same as the First Version but using the other dressing.
