This is one of the best recipes from my friend Bonnie from Canada, but she now lives in Michigan. She calls it her spoon bread- so that's what I call it! It's very creamy and has the best herbed flavor and oh so good!

Ingredients For broccoli spoon bread

2 cmilk
-
1/2 ccream of rice hot cereal,uncooked

10 ozfrozen chopped broccoli, thawed

1 cshredded cheddar cheese

4 lgeggs,slightly beaten

2 Tbspbutter or margarine

1 clovegarlic, minced

2 tspdried basil leaves
-
2 tspbaking powder
How To Make broccoli spoon bread

1Preheat oven to 375^. Bring milk just to a boil in medium saucepan on medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium. Gradually add cereal, stirring constantly. Cook and stir 30 seconds. Remove from heat. Cover and let stand 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Pour into a greased 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Bake 30-40 minutes or until golden brown.
