broccoli slaw

We just had a member ask for a salad recipe that uses ramen noodles and broccoli, this is pretty much what I was thinking when she said that. This is a Paula Deen recipe from one of her shows. This does not keep well, so eat it up right after you make it.

Ingredients
- 6 ounces two 3 oz packages ramen noodles
- 3/4 stick butter
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds
- 24 ounces two 12 oz packages broccoli slaw
- 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
- - chopped scallions for garnish
- - dressing:
- 3/4 cup canola oil
- 1/4 cup brown or white sugar
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 package ramen noodle seasoning packet
How To Make broccoli slaw

Step 1Put noodles in a bag and crush.

Step 2melt butter and add noodles and almonds and saute ,tirring occasionally over med heat, until not and toasty.

Step 3Wisk dressing ingredients together in a small bowl.

Step 4In a large bowl, empty broccoli slaw, toss with almond mixture, and sunflower seeds.

Step 5Add dressing, toss to combine and chill before serving.

Step 6Don't make this too early in the day because sitting for this salad does not inprove on it.
