We just had a member ask for a salad recipe that uses ramen noodles and broccoli, this is pretty much what I was thinking when she said that.
This is a Paula Deen recipe from one of her shows.
This does not keep well, so eat it up right after you make it.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz
    two 3 oz packages ramen noodles
  • 3/4 stick
    butter
  • 1/4 c
    slivered almonds
  • 24 oz
    two 12 oz packages broccoli slaw
  • 1/4 c
    sunflower seeds
  • ·
    chopped scallions for garnish
  • ·
    dressing:
  • 3/4 c
    canola oil
  • 1/4 c
    brown or white sugar
  • 1/4 c
    apple cider vinegar
  • 1 pkg
    ramen noodle seasoning packet

How to Make Broccoli Slaw

Step-by-Step

  1. Put noodles in a bag and crush.
  2. melt butter and add noodles and almonds and saute ,tirring occasionally over med heat, until not and toasty.
  3. Wisk dressing ingredients together in a small bowl.
  4. In a large bowl, empty broccoli slaw, toss with almond mixture, and sunflower seeds.
  5. Add dressing, toss to combine and chill before serving.
  6. Don't make this too early in the day because sitting for this salad does not inprove on it.
