We just had a member ask for a salad recipe that uses ramen noodles and broccoli, this is pretty much what I was thinking when she said that.
This is a Paula Deen recipe from one of her shows.
This does not keep well, so eat it up right after you make it.

Ingredients

6 oz
two 3 oz packages ramen noodles
3/4 stick
butter
1/4 c
slivered almonds
24 oz
two 12 oz packages broccoli slaw
1/4 c
sunflower seeds
chopped scallions for garnish
dressing:
3/4 c
canola oil
1/4 c
brown or white sugar
1/4 c
apple cider vinegar
1 pkg
ramen noodle seasoning packet

How to Make Broccoli Slaw

Step-by-Step

  • 1Put noodles in a bag and crush.
  • 2melt butter and add noodles and almonds and saute ,tirring occasionally over med heat, until not and toasty.
  • 3Wisk dressing ingredients together in a small bowl.
  • 4In a large bowl, empty broccoli slaw, toss with almond mixture, and sunflower seeds.
  • 5Add dressing, toss to combine and chill before serving.
  • 6Don't make this too early in the day because sitting for this salad does not inprove on it.
