This is a wonderful salad that I almost always serve at barbeques. Broccoli is so good for you and this is a very tasty and interesting blend of flavors...so many people that do not even eat broccoli normally have asked me for the recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 package broccoli slaw mix
  • 1 cup mayonaisse
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice or cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup red onion,chopped medium
  • 1/2 cup cranraisins( i like golden raisins better)
  • 1/3 cup bacos (imitation bacon bits)
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds

How To Make broccoli slaw

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl whisk mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar(or lemon juice) until well blended.
  • Step 2
    Add remaining ingredients and toss well.Refrigerate at least one hour to allow dressing to thicken and flavors to meld.
  • Step 3
    Keep in mind that you can lighten the calories in this recipe by using low fat or no fat mayo.
