Broccoli/Cauliflower with Spaghetti

This is a family favorite and very healthy too. We eat this as a one pot meal. Serve with a generous helping of Romano cheese.

1 bunch
head of cauliflower
4 clove
garlic, minced
1 medium
onion, chopped
1 tsp
1 tsp
6 c
1/2 pkg
thin spaghetti
1/3 c
olive oil, extra virgin
romano cheese, grated

How to Make Broccoli/Cauliflower with Spaghetti


  • 1Add 6 cups water to 8 qt stock pot.
  • 2Add garlic, onion, salt and pepper. Turn on heat and bring to boil, then reduce heat to simmer.
  • 3Cut stem off of broccoli and quarter. Remove core of cauliflower and quarter. Add to pot. Drizzle with olive oil, cover and cook for 30 minutes.
  • 4Break spaghetti in half and add to pot and cook for another 10 minutes or until tender. You can add the whole package of spaghetti to stretch this meal for a bigger family.
