Ingredients For bob's green tomato bake with button mushrooms

  • 16 oz
    fresh button mushrooms
  • 8-10 md
    green tomatoes,pleed and cut into 3/4 slices
  • 1/2 c
    parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 c
    italian bread crumbs
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 1 tsp
    salt

How To Make bob's green tomato bake with button mushrooms

    You will need a 10 or 12" castiron skillet..Preheat oven to 350...Put half of the slides of tomatoes and 1/2 of sliced mushrooms in the bottom of the skillet. Mix cheese,bread crumbs,salt and pepper together in a mixing bowl. Sprinkle half the mixture over tomatoes and mushrooms.Dot with slices of butter.

    Now make a 2nd layer just like the first. dot with more butter.. Bake for 55 min.
