Ingredients

  • 4 cups finely shredded cabbage
  • 1/3 cup carrot, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar, light
  • 4 teaspoons soy sauce
  • - toasted sesame seeds
  • - almonds, sliced
  • - green onions, chopped

How To Make asian cabbage salad

  • Step 1
    Shred cabbage finely. I used savoy but you could use green, red or a combination for this salad. Add shredded carrots.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl stir together the rice vinegar, soy sauce, brown sugar and sesame oil till well blended and sugar dissolves. I have also used apple cider vinegar and it works great too.
  • Step 3
    Add cabbage and carrots and toss in dressing.Sprinkle with sesame seeds, almonds and green onions to taste.
