Ingredients

  • 4 c
    finely shredded cabbage
  • 1/3 c
    carrot, shredded
  • 2 Tbsp
    rice vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    brown sugar, light
  • 4 tsp
    soy sauce
  • ·
    toasted sesame seeds
  • ·
    almonds, sliced
  • ·
    green onions, chopped

How to Make Asian Cabbage salad

Step-by-Step

  1. Shred cabbage finely. I used savoy but you could use green, red or a combination for this salad. Add shredded carrots.
  2. In a large bowl stir together the rice vinegar, soy sauce, brown sugar and sesame oil till well blended and sugar dissolves. I have also used apple cider vinegar and it works great too.
  3. Add cabbage and carrots and toss in dressing.Sprinkle with sesame seeds, almonds and green onions to taste.
