Some of these are large enough to make a meal out of on their own. I enjoy them with garlic lemon butter to dip the leaves in, pretty common in california is mayo. But the great thing about being an adult is you can make your own rules. :-)

Ingredients
- 2 - artichokes
- 1 - lemon
- 4 cloves garlic
- GARLIC LEMON BUTTER
- 1/3 stick unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon granlated garlic or 2 cloves minced
- 1 - lemon juiced, fresh
How To Make artichokes

Step 1Cut about 1 inch from artichoke tops, trim a little off stem, and trim tips

Step 2Place in stockpot with 4 whole garlic cloves, and 1 lemon sliced into about 6 rounds, and enough water to half cover the artichokes

Step 3Bring water to a boil and let cook at a low boil until a fork inserted into the stem end goes in easily. About 20-40 minutes depending on how large.

Step 4For the dip I put all 3 ingredients into a microwave safe bowl and give it a quick zap until butter is melted
