Argentine Sauteed Swiss Chard (Acelgas Saltada) is a simple and delicious treatment for an easy sauteed Swiss chard.

Ingredients

  • 10 ounces bunch swiss chard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • - salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch freshly grated nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons golden raisins, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

How To Make argentine sauteed swiss chard

  • Step 1
    Remove stems from chard and chop leaves coarsely.
  • Step 2
    Heat oil in a large pan and saute onion and garlic until soft.
  • Step 3
    Add chopped chard leaves, salt, pepper, and a generous splash of balsamic vinegar.
  • Step 4
    Cover an with a lid until leaves wilt, about one minute.
  • Step 5
    Add raisins and continue to cook, stir-frying, until chard is as tender as you like,
  • Step 6
    Season with a pinch or two if nutmeg, to taste.
