Can you imagine baked acorn squash in 8-9 minutes..??? It is possible with the NORDIC.Wave MICRO TENDER COOKER ! Made by Nordic Ware. I wouldn't be with out it..soups, meat, chicken, stews, veggies, desserts...etc. If intereste they have them on E-Bay..be sure to get the cookbook with it.. I posted two recipes on JAP. 1. Ingredients

1 - acorn squash...1-1/2 to 2 pounds
1/2 cup water

How To Make acorn squash baked in a nordic-ware tender cooker

Step 1

Wash squssh.Set up tender Cooker. Pierce the squash 10-15 times with a fork. Place i n the cooker. Adjust the rubber gasket onto the bottom part of the cookerPut the lid on ,, slowely so you do not disturb the gasket. Now twist lid to lock on. Place into your micro-wave .

Step 2

Add the red weight onto the cover. Set time for 8-9 minutes... When don e let it sit in the microwave for about 10 minutes. With pot holders take cooker out , place on your counter. When the little yellow stem is all the way down..it O.K. to open the lid.
Step 3

Remove cooked squash, onto a cutting board. Cut in half. remove seeds. Now cut in half again, and serve with butter.. ***A friend just told me new they are $80.00...WOW!! I found another one at a resale shop for $ 5.00.!
