I LOVE fresh asparagus and can't wait until the Spring when it is bountiful in the stores and at Farmer's Markets, and I am always trying to find different ways to make it. This is one of my favorites. It can be done in the oven, or if you're grilling out, you can wrap it up in foil and throw it on the grill along side the steaks. Cooking it outside gives it an entirely different taste from the smoke of the meat. With summer just around the corner, give it a try and let me know what you think.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch asparagus, fresh
  • 1 tablespoon greek seasoning, or more to taste
  • - the juice of one lemon
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons virgin olive oil

How To Make yummy asparagus

  • Step 1
Wash and trim the asparagus and pat dry
  • Step 2
Spread the asparagus out on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Step 3
Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with Greek seasoning
  • Step 4
Set the broiler to 400 and cook for 8-10 minutes shaking the pan half way through the cooking time and squeezing the lemon.
  • Step 5
Using the water you can also steam the asparagus, (which you might want to do in the summer months to avoid heating up the kitchen) but I preferred it broiled
