These green beans are so tasty! I like them so much better than green bean casserole that I serve them at holiday dinners. They are really different!

Ingredients

  • 2 cans french-style green beans
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon grated onion
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 8 ounces grated swiss cheese

How To Make swiss green beans

  • Step 1
    Heat the beans in a pan; set aside. In another pan, melt the butter and stir in flour, salt, pepper, onion and sugar. Gradually stir in sour cream.
  • Step 2
    Cook, stirring, over medium-low heat until thick. Drain beans and add to mixture.
  • Step 3
    Turn into a shallow baking dish. Top with grated cheese. Put under broiler for 5 minutes or until cheese melts.
