red bell pepper sliced in to thin strips

How to Make Sweet and Sour Vegetables low sugar


  • 1Cut up vegetables.Place vegetables,and 1/4 cup of water in a pan with a lid.Bring to a boil. Reduce to medium and cover. Steam for 3-5 minutes,or until desired tenderness.
  • 2Combine the sugar and corn starch together in a bowl.mix in the soy sauce,pineapple juice,and vinegar until smooth. Put in to the pan you cooked vegetables. Cook and stir until it thickens.
  • 3Strain vegetables. Toss the vegetables with the sauce. Sprinkle sesame oil, green onion and toss.
