- 1 large (1/2 pound) parsnip
- - vegetable oil
- - smoked salt
How To Make parsnip bacon

Step 1Using a sharp vegetable peeler, slice a large peeled parsnip lengthwise into thin strips. Brush both sides with vegetable oil and place on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet.

Step 2Season with smoked salt or season of choice. Cover parsnips with sheet of parchment and top with another cookie sheet(to hold down flat). Bake at 300^ for 1 hour and 15 minutes, until crisp. Let cool before serving.Serve with your favorite sandwich or soup and salad.
