How to Make Mamaw's Cabbage
- 1Core cabbage. Cut into bite-sized pieces.
- 2Place in a large skillet. Add milk. Then add water until skillet is full to 1 cm from the top.
- 3Cut butter into 1/4 inch slices. Add butter slices, spread out over the cabbage.
- 4Sprinkle with pepper.
- 5Simmer over medium-low heat for 30 minutes. As the butter melts, stir it to mix with the juice. Stir occasionally as it cooks.
- 6Serve with a slotted spoon to strain.
