I love fresh green beans, for the past 2 weeks, the store where I usually buy vegetable have them on sale for .69 p/lb and they have been so good, small and tender. I don't always add potatoes but they're good and well seasoned when I do.My husband like to mash the potatoes on his plate.
Simmer as many potatoes as you need to serve.

How to Make Green Beans & Potatoes

Step-by-Step

  1. Add all ingredients(except salt) in a pot, cover with just enough water to barely cover, simmer until potatoes are done. Check for seasoning. You may not need salt using bouillon.
I cook canned green beans this way but cook the potatoes until tender, then add drained beans.Heat just until hot.I get a lot of compliments that they do not taste like canned beans.
